This role provides essential administrative and operational support to the HR function ensuring accuracy compliance and consistency across our employment practices.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for processing Personnel Action Notices (PANs) maintaining I-9 compliance coordinating onboarding calendars and supporting various HR initiatives that enhance the associate experience across all communities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Serves as human resources administrator to designated communities.
- Supports workforce management to designated communities including recruiting associate relations health and safety compensation benefits training diversity associate engagement leave and attendance tracking payroll and associate records.
- Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensure employment law and regulatory compliance.
- In coordination with other departments and HR functions defines and executes HR strategies that align with business objectives and key initiatives.
Tasks
- Supports Hiring Managers through training and coaching activities related to recruiting including job posting interviewing and selecting job offer and references
- Coordinates and conducts Job Fairs as needed
- Conducts Background screening
- Coordinates pre-employment drug and/or health screening consistent with state/local law and/or Watermark policy
- Ensure completion of onboarding documentation in Applicant Tracking System HRIS system and completion of Form I-9
- Conduct routine audits of HRIS system to ensure accuracy of information
- Order necessary tools supplies uniforms name badges and/or business cards for associates. Including submission of Helpdesk ticket if appropriate
- Coordinate with communities training completion both new hires and on-going
- Supports Department Directors/Manager/Supervisors with completion of performance evaluations
- Conducts training on HR-related topics
- Conducts investigations concerning policy violations associate behavioral issue or performance deficiency or other matter concerning associates
- Supports Department Directors/Managers/Supervisors with issuing disciplinary action to associates
- Serves as Benefit Administrator
- Informs and advises associates on benefits matters regarding eligibility coverage and provisions.
- Audits benefit billings and examines records to ensure accuracy
- Serves as Administrator for Workers Compensation claims
- Ensures documentation completed
- Coordinates Alternate/Modified Duty
- Meets with Claims Adjusters
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree or higher in Personnel Management Human Resources or other related area. Experience may substitute for educational requirements.
3-5 Years related experience
Knowledge of policies and practices involved in personnel/human resource functions. This includes recruitment selection training and compensation and benefits packages
Knowledge of HRIS systems
