Job Summary:
The Operations Manager – Warehouse is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage distribution and inventory management. This includes supervising warehouse staff optimizing logistics processes maintaining safety standards and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment to meet business and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving storage inventory management and dispatch.
- Plan and manage warehouse layout and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency and space utilization.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff; set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with procurement logistics and sales teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely deliveries.
- Implement and monitor warehouse KPIs such as order accuracy dispatch time and inventory turnover.
- Maintain compliance with safety health and environmental standards (OSHA or local regulations).
- Manage warehouse budgets including manpower equipment maintenance and operational costs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools.
- Liaise with transport partners and vendors to ensure optimal distribution efficiency.
- Handle incident reporting loss prevention and corrective action planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) ERP and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards inventory management techniques and lean warehouse practices.
