Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (Ref. 533425) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree with at least 3 years relevant post qualification experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese); good interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to work independently. Applicants should also possess a strong sense of responsibility integrity and genuine interest in student welfare and student development. Experience in housing management project or event management and in engaging young people would be an advantage.
Reporting to the Director of Campus Life the appointee will provide support and supervision for a wide range of housing matters including university housing policy administration; collaboration with off-campus student hostel operators; enhancing the overall learning experience of students in the halls; developing programs to foster residential life; supporting student leadership development within the residential community and coordinating housing-related student support services. The appointee will also perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director or their delegate and will be required to work irregular hours and perform on-call duties as needed.
The Dean of Student Affairs holds the authority to deploy the appointee to various clusters of student residences based on operational needs during the appointment period.
