Program Analyst 2 - Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Coordinator

Woodburn - MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility


The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Coordinator to join the team at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn. This position plays a vital role in leading evidence-based and developmentally appropriate treatment services that address substance use needs among youth in OYAs care. The SUD Coordinator provides clinical supervision to CADC candidates oversees assessment and curriculum implementation and partners with living unit leadership teams to ensure comprehensive equitable and responsive care. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about working with adolescents in a residential setting values teamwork and positive human development and is committed to fostering diversity equity and inclusion in every aspect of treatment and staff development.

Position Highlight

  • Promotes diversity equity and inclusion and the developmental approach.
  • Provides clinical supervision to CADC candidates
  • Leads SUD assessment and curriculum implementation
  • Leads the recruitment training and supervision of Certified Recovery Mentors at MacLaren YCF
  • Works with Unit Leadership Teams to develop proactive plans for an effective array of SUD clinical treatment services while addressing youth risk factors and responsivity concerns.

What You Need To Qualify:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business or Public Administration Behavioral or Social Sciences or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a Substance use disorder treatment program or program experience working with children/adolescents/young adults

OR

  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.


Special Requirements:

  • Current Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II certification or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire required.

  • Experience providing substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for adolescents in residential or correctional settings.

  • Experience providing clinical supervision and mentorship to Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) candidates.

  • Ability to coordinate and lead assessments treatment programming and staff training to ensure fidelity to evidence-based practices.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport and build collaborative relationships with youth staff and unit leadership teams.

  • Commitment to centering diversity equity and inclusion through a developmental and culturally responsive approach to youth treatment and staff support.
