Job Summary
A large-scale heavy manufacturing facility (500000 sq. ft. unionized) is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Director to lead all aspects of equipment reliability plant infrastructure and facilities management. This operation includes high-volume foundry CNC machining centers industrial coating lines and automated assembly supported by advanced robotics and control systems.
Highlights:
Lead 5 supervisors and 50 skilled trades employees in a unionized environment
Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance asset reliability and automation systems
Manage capital projects (furnace rebuilds CNC installs robotic cell integrations)
Ensure performance of building systems: HVAC electrical compressed air water treatment
Drive safety compliance (OSHA EPA NFPA NEC) and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
10 years of maintenance/facility leadership in heavy manufacturing
5 years in a unionized setting
Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLCs Siemens S7/TIA Portal and FANUC robotics
