Job Summary
CLUBHOUSE MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Stonebridge Country Club will be hiring an individual to join our Maintenance department on a Full-Time basis. This individual will be working together with and under the direction of the Clubhouse Maintenance Manager and assists in maintaining the appearance and operability of the Club. Assignments include performing a wide variety of trade tasks including but not limited to electrical work light plumbing repair and maintenance of physical elements and custodial tasks. To ensure the Members enjoy the finest of facilities the maintenance team is tasked with proactively planning to minimize inconvenience and unexpected expense.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all lighting elements function appropriately by checking them daily and replacing elements if necessary
- Patch and paint drywall blemishes identified when touring property weekly
- Update paint on an ongoing schedule to keep a clean fresh appearance
- Perform minor plumbing repairs (toilet floats faucets drains leaks) without supervision
- Perform preventative maintenance on other equipment as directed
- Perform custodial tasks including monitoring and removing debris on the premises and monitoring cleaning and restocking bathrooms
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Travel to various suppliers for parts when directed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in a maintenance-type position
- Knowledge of HVAC plumbing carpentry and mechanical systems
- Electrical Licensing or Certification is a plus
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools required
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend kneel stoop and lift or move heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine notes and reports and effectively communicate in English
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
- Must possess a valid Florida drivers license
- Is able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continually required to stand walk: utilize hand and finger dexterity: climb balance bend stoop talk hear: work near moving mechanical parts: work in high precarious places. Often exposed to outside temperatures and outside weather conditions. Occasionally required to sit work around fumes airborne particles or toxic chemicals.
