We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our client in Booneville MS. The pay will be starting out at $27.00 and then over 120 days it will move to $35 depending on performance. This will be a 12 hour shift position.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining plant equipment responding to emergency breakdowns and performing preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills basic welding and fabrication abilities and the use of SAP for work order management.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs across plant equipment.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and repairs.
Conduct shift rounds (minimum twice per shift) to inspect compressors chillers pumps silos extrusion equipment and critical systems.
Report and address equipment deficiencies leaks or hazards.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks (lubrication filter changes oil changes motor/pump replacements plumbing painting cleaning).
Assess operational states of equipment and determine corrective actions.
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
Complete assignments independently and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in extrusion or 3 years in industrial maintenance.
Basic knowledge of compressed air chilled water recycled water city water systems electrical distribution panels buss bar disconnects and primary circuit breakers.
Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills; welding and fabrication experience.
Computer proficiency (SAP preferred).
Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
Physical Demands
Regular standing walking stooping kneeling crouching crawling and reaching.
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements: close distance color peripheral and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts electrical shock risk wet/humid conditions fumes extreme heat vibration and loud noise.
Occasional work at heights or precarious places.
