About the Client
Our client is one of the most well recognized company in Hong Kong and with the vision to strategically transform their corporate services they are now seeing for a Senior IT Portfolio Manager to join the team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director you are the critical link between the business functions and the core IT delivery teams. This role is responsible for establishing and managing a consolidated portfolio of all technology demands ensuring that every IT project and investment is strategically aligned with the companys highest business priorities and delivers maximum value. The successful candidate will be an expert in business engagement demand shaping and portfolio governance translating complex business needs into a clear prioritized technology roadmap for execution by the IT teams. You will serve as the primary IT liaison for senior business stakeholders to deeply understand their strategic objectives business problems and application needs. Proactively engage with business units to capture structure and articulate new IT project ideas and demand requests ensuring a clear business case strategic rationale and anticipated ROI are defined for each. Crucially assess the urgency value and interdependencies of different business IT application needs to build a single comprehensive view of demand. Lastly work with IT functional managers to perform resource capacity planning identifying potential resource constraints and proactively balancing demand against IT delivery capacity.
Hard Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Computer Science or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in IT Portfolio Management Demand Management or a senior Business/IT Strategy role.
- Demonstrable experience in prioritizing complex IT initiatives (e.g. application development infrastructure digital transformation)
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and IT Governance frameworks will be a plus
- Proven ability to engage influence and negotiate with C-level executives and business leaders to drive consensus on investment priorities.
- Ability to synthesize diverse business needs into a cohesive long-term technology strategy
- Skill in leading difficult prioritization discussions and driving decision-making in a matrixed organization
- Good command in Chinese and English
