The ITC Homes Coordinator will provide leadership support supervision and development of ITC House Managers and Senior Youth Workers ensuring services reflect MacKillops values policies procedures and practice frameworks; and comply with the OOHC standards relevant legislation and Department of Communities and Justice policies and PSP service requirements.

This Role is a Full Time Perm Position 38hrs per week and will report to ITC Senior Coordinator NSW Metro West and NSW Metro North Children Youth and Families.




About the role:

The ITC Homes Coordinator will support ITC House Managers and Senior Youth Workers to:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the ITC Homes;
  • Ensure children and young people receive therapeutic care and support;
  • Create support and maintain a therapeutic environment within each ITC Home;
  • Provide leadership support and supervision to Therapeutic Youth Workers;
  • Establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of services to improve outcomes for children young people and their families;
  • Manage the administrative systems that support ITC Homes including recruitment rostering supervision learning and development finance and maintenance.

Key selection criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in social work social science community services youth work management or relevant field;
  • Leadership experience in an equivalent role and demonstrated skills and experience in therapeutic residential care house management service in the Permanency Support Program and ITC will be highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising supporting and developing staff;
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection OOHC trauma attachment and resilience theory; and child and adolescent development;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children young people and their families;
