My client a well-established subsidiary of a leading multinational in the beverage sector is seeking a Head of Sales to lead its sales strategy and execution across Nigeria. This is a critical leadership position that calls for strategic thinking strong execution and the ability to inspire teams to deliver consistent market success.

The Head of Sales will play a key role in driving sustainable growth strengthening trade relationships and ensuring the flawless execution of the companys sales strategies setting the pace for market leadership in a highly competitive sector. This position is pivotal to shaping the companys commercial future from defining go-to-market strategies to managing nationwide teams and delivering results that move the business forward.

What Youll Do

As Head of Sales you will be responsible for shaping and executing the companys commercial strategy across key territories. You will lead a team of experienced sales professionals to deliver consistent business results strengthen customer engagement and expand market share.

Youll also be responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing sales and route-to-market strategies aligned with the companys vision.
  • Developing annual sales plans to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Leading mentoring and inspiring regional sales teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strengthening distributor and trade partner relationships for optimal market coverage.
  • Overseeing pricing strategies sales budgets and performance tracking systems.
  • Collaborating with leadership on product launches innovations and competitive response strategies.
  • Managing third-party agents and distributors to ensure efficiency and accountability.
  • Driving the continuous improvement of sales processes systems and market execution.



Requirements

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Sales Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years sales and marketing experience in the FMCG or beverage sector with 35 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success in route-to-market execution distributor management and field sales leadership.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ISO-based systems (ISO 9001 ISO 22000 ISO 14001 ISO 45001) is an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen analytical ability and strategic thinking.
  • A valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively.
