Job Purpose
The Head of Marketing (Agroscience) will lead the design and execution of strategic marketing initiatives for the companys portfolio of crop protection and agricultural input products. The role is responsible for strengthening brand visibility driving market penetration supporting sales growth and managing relationships with farmers distributors and international partners.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement robust marketing strategies to achieve business growth and market share targets.

Conduct continuous market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends new opportunities and market gaps.

Strengthen brand positioning through creative promotional campaigns advertising digital marketing and farmer engagement programs.

Collaborate with distributors dealers and farmer associations to expand market reach and enhance product accessibility.

Provide marketing support to sales teams through market intelligence promotional tools and product training.

Manage marketing budgets effectively ensuring cost efficiency and ROI-driven execution.

Ensure compliance with all marketing safety and agrochemical regulatory standards.

Work closely with the R&D team on new product introductions innovation initiatives and lifecycle management.

Lead mentor and motivate the marketing team to deliver on performance goals through continuous training and capacity development.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Agriculture Agronomy Crop Science Agribusiness Marketing or related field.

MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification in Marketing Business or Management is an added advantage.

Minimum of 7 - 8 years experience in marketing within the Agrochemical Agribusiness or Crop Protection industry (experience in FMCG marketing is also acceptable).

Strong background in commodities marketing route-to-market strategies and product promotion.

Proven ability to gather analyze and interpret market data and business intelligence.

Deep understanding of crop production systems pest management and farmer behavior.

Demonstrated expertise in strategy development brand management and campaign execution.

Excellent leadership communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
-
Familiarity with Nigerian agrochemical regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
