About the role
Ventia are seeking a highly organised and experienced Guest Services Supervisor to lead our accommodation team.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Manage the budget for the accommodation department including monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Oversee the inventory of supplies and amenities ensuring adequate stock levels and timely reordering.
  • Prepare and present reports on occupancy rates revenue and other key performance indicators to senior management.
  • Oversee room availability and usage of external accommodation during peak period.
  • Oversee and supervise team during high volume accommodation check-ins
  • Ensure shared accommodation email inbox is being processed in a reasonable time
  • Ensure team are following processes for check-ins and departures
  • Liaise with housekeeping to ensure clean rooms and for service cleans
  • Monitor maintenance request liaise with maintenance team if work order/s may impact the use of the room
  • Liaise with security on disturbance complaints providing direction where required
  • Manage departmental budgets and maintain inventory levels

About you

  • 3 years experience in a managerial role within accommodation or hospitality
  • A diploma or degree in hospitality management business administration or a related field (advantageous)
  • Certification in hotel management or a related discipline (advantageous)
  • You are asafety-focused leader who drives accountability and continuous improvement. You coach and empower teams to deliver operational excellence embeddingsafetyas a core value in every aspect of work.   • In-depth understanding of housekeeping front desk and maintenance operations
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police
