Regional Group is seeking an experienced and reliableQuarry Supervisor for our Forbes Quarry.
About the Role:
The primary focus of the Quarry Supervisor would be the safe and efficient supervision of operation and sales at the Forbes quarry. With a focus on safety the Quarry Supervisor will have a heavy interest in the day-to-day duties supervision management and logistics of the hard rock quarry.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Safety Performance of employees and subcontractors in conjunction with Legislative Requirements and the Mine Safety Management Plan.
- Responsible for meeting and achieving production targets.
- Responsible for Quality Control in conjunction with Clients requirements and the site-specific Quarry Management Plan.
- Responsible for Continuous improvement.
- Responsible for Quarry development and ongoing production plans for the Quarry.
- Hazard identification through active completion of the risk assessment process.
Required skills and experience:
- Excavator Loader Moxy operation experience
- Crusher Experience
- Mechanically minded
- Strong mechanical aptitude including ability to lead maintenance days and respond to minor breakdowns
- Ability to troubleshoot issues on crushers screens conveyors pumps and mobile plant
- White Card
- HR Licence
- Experience working in a quarry environment preferred.
- Relevant RII tickets
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Strong Management and Leadership Skills
- Ability to work effectively as a key team member in a production-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to mentor operators provide on-the-job training
- Experience managing a small team in production or mining environments
