About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Food and Environmental Services Assistant to join our Patient Food and Environmental Services team at St Vincents Private Community Hospital Griffith (SVPCHG). This is a permanent part time role 20 hours a fortnight.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Serving Meals and Beverages to patients.
- Following meal reports and work schedules.
- Tray assembly according to meal tickets.
- Cleaning and Washing up responsibilities
- Housekeeping to meet the needs of patients in both Theatre/ Ward and clients in a professional and timely manner
The skills required are:
- Experience working within a hospital food services setting or hospitality environment.
- Ability to work within a team or unsupervised.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Punctuality and flexibility to cover shifts over 7 days.
- Able to follow instructions and food safety principles.
- Salary packaging of up to $15900 per FBT year (pay less tax and increase your take-home pay) with increased benefits for full-time employees such as reductions to rent or mortgage payments vehicle leasing and a meal entertainment card up to $2600 a year

- Onsite training facility The Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre and onsite consulting suites that support the provision of services for our 30 Visiting Medical specialists
- Convenient location close to cafes restaurants and public transport
