Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven and commercially astute Sales Manager to lead the companys sales function across Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies managing key accounts and distribution networks and driving growth across the FMCG sector. A strong background in liquor sales and distribution is highly preferred. The candidate must be Kenyan and bring proven leadership experience within FMCG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue market share and profitability targets.
  • Lead coach and motivate the sales team to deliver on objectives and ensure high performance.
  • Manage relationships with key accounts distributors and trade partners to maximise business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and trade marketing teams to ensure alignment of sales and promotional activities.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities competitor activities and customer trends.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with distributors wholesalers and major retail outlets.
  • Monitor sales performance KPIs and present regular reports to senior management.
  • Drive execution of distribution expansion plans ensuring product availability and visibility across channels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory commercial and company policies.
  • Manage sales budgets forecasts and targets with a focus on sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be Kenyan.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Sales Marketing or related field.
  • Proven track record in FMCG sales management with strong preference for liquor/beverage distribution experience.
  • Minimum 5 7 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations distributor management and retail channel development in Kenya.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and people management skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools.
