This Position reports to:

Sales Manager


Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goals and objectives by developing and maintaining strong productive working relationships with customers and by successfully quoting negotiating closing and managing large commercial construction projects incorporating the complete ABB ELSP ELSB and ELDS product portfolios.

The work model for the role is: Remote (50-100 miles radius) preferred location in Chicago IL. (#Li-Remote)

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Building in the Midwest District.





You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Develop and maintain strong productive working relationships with electrical and general contractors at all levels and channel partners (distributors VARs OEMs) as well as influencers including engineers/consultants.
  • Perform project take-offs and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specifications for electrical distribution and control equipment and services.
  • Develop and maintain customer account plans & pipeline detailing identity of key customers stakeholders estimated total annual ABB volume project hit-rate strength of relationship development needs etc.
  • Develop and utilize strong network of cross-functional internal resources (manufacturing operations spec engineers field services etc.) to maximize productivity and hit-rate.



Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university/college (engineering preferred) or GED with 8 years salesexperience; Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience quoting and/or selling multi-family projects to electricalcontractors
  • Strong industry knowledge and leadership experience with proven skills in customer engagement technical proposal development ERP and sales tools and effective communication across teams and stakeholders preferred
  • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid drivers license
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $79800 and $127680 annually and is bonus eligible.
