The Role
- Advise on debt restructurings workouts and insolvency proceedings (including schemes of arrangement liquidations and receiverships)
- Represent clients including banks funds insolvency practitioners and distressed companies
- Draft and negotiate restructuring documentation (including standstills RSA restructuring agreements and scheme documents) security enforcement strategies and court applications in connection with schemes and winding-ups.
- Collaborate with litigation banking and corporate teams on multi-disciplinary matters
- Support business development and client relationship initiatives across the region
Qualifications :
Your Experience
- Qualified to practice law in Hong Kong with a strong academic background
- 3 years PQE in restructuring insolvency or related finance/litigation work
- Strong technical knowledge of Hong Kong insolvency law and cross-border restructuring frameworks
- Experience with schemes of arrangement and enforcement strategies
- Excellent drafting analytical and client-management skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach and ability to run transactions independently on a day-to-day basis under appropriate supervision
