Facilities Specialist

Our laboratory works with pharmaceutical companies compounding and hospital pharmacies drug manufacturers and raw material suppliers bringing excellence to pharmaceutical sciences and making pharmaceuticals safer. The Facilities Specialist will assist the Facilities Manager in the completion of projects to ensure that ARL facilities are maintained in accordance with all Health and Safety as well as Quality requirements.

Restrictions: Because of the vital nature of this work we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all our employees. Essential Functions - Supports the Facilities Manager in the implementation and review of Facilities policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with and support external resources such as landlord electricians / plumbers and subcontractors.
- Works with Environmental Monitoring System for proper function of temperature relative humidity and pressure differential throughout the facility and multiple environmental chambers.
- Tracks and implements repairs corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement of facility.
- Ensure Security measures meet requirements and are in place and functional.
- Performs duties such as moving items assembling items painting maintaining safety measures receiving duties receiving dock organization and cleaning.
- Ability to wear maintain and properly use appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection gloves and lab coat.
Position Requirements...
- High School diploma
- Strong organizational and time management skills to balance working on multiple projects.
- Independently motivated detail oriented and good problem-solving ability.
- Basic mechanical and construction knowledge and skills.
- Requires effective verbal and written communication skills ability to interact constructively with peers/teams and ability to seek outside resources as needed.
- Basic PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint)
Work Environment... This job operates in an office and laboratory environment but some projects may require working outdoors for short periods with potential exposure to weather and temperature variations. Exposure to dust fumes and working in confined spaces may be necessary at times.
Physical Demands... The role requires standing for prolonged periods of time; dexterity in fingers and hands to perform complex and precise manipulations; ability to walk and stoop; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; see in the normal visual range including the ability to distinguish colors and shades and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
