This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- 20 hours per week
- Monday Friday 9:00 AM1:00 PM (Melbourne)
- Client Timezone: Melbourne Australia (AEST/AEDT)
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage social media accounts across all major platforms (Facebook Instagram TikTok X/Twitter LinkedIn)
- Create and schedule consistent engaging content that aligns with the accounting and advisory industry
- Develop creative strategies and viral content concepts that resonate with Australian demographics
- Handle community engagement including responding to comments messages and inquiries promptly
- Conduct outreach activities including message blasts and connecting with relevant communities and influencers
- Monitor social media trends and adapt content strategies accordingly
- Provide regular reporting on social media performance and lead generation metrics
- Collaborate with the founder to understand business goals and translate them into social media strategies.
Scope:
- Part-time position starting at 20 hours per week minimum
- Remote work arrangement with regular communication with Australian-based founder
- Focus on organic social media growth rather than paid advertising
- Primary goal of lead generation for accounting and tax advisory services
- Opportunity to expand into SEO and broader marketing responsibilities over time
- Direct reporting relationship with company founder
- Flexible scheduling within business collaboration requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management and marketing (portfolio required)
- Experience working with clients in the accounting space preferred
- Strong understanding of all major social media platforms and their algorithms
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Creative content creation abilities with knowledge of current trends
- Experience with social media scheduling and management tools
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Willingness to learn about the Australian market and accounting industry
- Strong responsiveness and ability to engage with followers in real-time
