Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and fluent German speaker with a passion for sales and a talent for building lasting client relationships Do you have a proven track record of success in a sales-oriented role We are seeking a dedicated Account Manager to join our dynamic team in Athens serving as a key partner for a pioneering digital media solutions company.

This role offers an initial on-site experience in our state-of-the-art Athens office. Based on your performance and successful integration a hybrid work model offering the flexibility of working from home 3 days a week while collaborating with your team in the office for 2 days can be offered. For candidates applying from outside of Greece we offer a comprehensive relocation package including flight tickets and accommodation to help you settle into the vibrant city of Athens.

The Role

As a German-Speaking Account Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients driving business growth and identifying new opportunities within the German-speaking market. You will act as a strategic advisor to your clients helping them maximize the value of their digital media solutions and ensuring their long-term success. This is a sales-focused role where your ability to build trust deeply understand client needs and skillfully close deals will be paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with a portfolio of German-speaking clients acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Sales & Upselling: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling actively promoting new features products and services to consistently meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs analyses to deeply understand client challenges pain points and strategic objectives proposing tailored digital media solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations with confidence and successfully close deals to drive significant revenue growth for your portfolio.
  • Market Expertise: Stay continuously informed on industry trends competitive landscapes and digital media innovations to provide expert up-to-date advice and strategic guidance to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with technical support and product teams to ensure client issues are resolved efficiently and effectively guaranteeing a seamless customer experience.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities client interactions and pipeline forecasts in the CRM system contributing to robust reporting.


What Were Looking For

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent proficiency in German (C2 level) is essential for all daily client communication. A minimum of B2 English proficiency is required for internal team collaboration and training.
  • Sales Experience: A proven background in a sales or account management role with a demonstrable track record of achieving and consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a confident persuasive and professional style tailored for client engagement.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to diagnose complex client issues and propose creative value-driven solutions.
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of core sales principles customer relationship management strategies and the evolving digital media landscape.
