Position Summary
We are seeking a SeniorSAP Release Managerwith expertise in managing complex SAP landscapes and ensuring seamless delivery of SAP releases. The candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the release management process establishing governance and ensuring timely high-quality releases in alignment with business and IT objectives.
This role will be based out of Bengaluru India.
Position Responsibilities:
Release Planning & Calendar
Create publish and maintain theannual SAP release calendar ensuring alignment with business priorities and IT roadmaps.
Coordinate release windows and cycles across SAP modules and integrated applications.
Release Execution & Coordination
Plan schedule and manageSAP release activitiesincluding major minor and emergency releases.
Work closely withproject teams development testing and infrastructure teamsto ensure adherence to timelines.
Act as thecentral point of controlfor all SAP transport and release-related activities.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure release management processes align withSOX ITIL and audit requirements.
Implement controls to ensure proper sequencing and transport handling.
Post-Release & KPIs
Conductpost-release reviews and postmortems identifying lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.
Define track and reportrelease KPIs(success rate defect leakage rollback frequency adherence to timelines).
Stakeholder Management
Engage with business stakeholders SAP CoE and project managers to align release activities with business timelines.
Provide clear communication and transparency of release plans risks and impacts.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum of 12 years experience in SAP Release/Change/Delivery Management.
Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of SAP landscapes transport management CTS/CTS and SolMan tools.
Process Knowledge:Solid grounding inITIL release/change managementpractices.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Leadership:Proven ability to lead cross-functional release teams and manage high-pressure release cycles.
Soft Skills:Strong organizational communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:Experience withAgile/DevOps in SAP Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) S/4HANA BASIS.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 Plus years related work experience or masters degree with 12 years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
