The Regional Sales Manager – South will be responsible for leading sales operations across the Southern region of India. This role focuses on achieving revenue targets expanding the distribution and retail network strengthening institutional and project sales and driving a high-performing team to deliver sustainable business growth.

Key Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Growth

Drive sales for the complete product portfolio: modular switches LED lighting & luminaires wires & cables MCBs and DBs.
Achieve and exceed regional sales and profitability targets.
Identify and develop new markets institutional clients and business opportunities.
Monitor competitor activities pricing and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Distribution & Channel Development

Appoint manage and strengthen distributors dealers and retail partners across the region.
Build strong relationships with institutional buyers consultants developers and government bodies.
Ensure efficient stock management distributor order execution and channel support.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

Lead mentor and train the regional sales team to enhance coverage and productivity.
Monitor sales performance review targets and implement corrective actions where needed.
Conduct product and market training sessions for team members.

Customer & Market Engagement

Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and after-sales issues.
Collect and analyze customer feedback for product and service improvements.
Represent the company at trade fairs exhibitions and key client meetings.

Operations & Reporting

Coordinate with warehouses and logistics for seamless product availability and timely deliveries.
Submit accurate and timely MIS reports sales forecasts competitor analysis and expense statements.
Ensure compliance with company policies processes and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications

Education: Graduate in Business/Marketing; MBA preferred

Experience: 8–12 years of experience in sales & business development with at least 3–5 years in a regional leadership role preferably in electrical products building materials or consumer durables with a proven track record of achieving regional targets and managing large teams.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of electrical products and market dynamics in South India
Expertise in territory sales management distribution network expansion and institutional/project sales
Exceptional leadership negotiation and decision-making skills
Ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams
Proficiency in MS Office CRM tools and MIS reporting

Preferred Skills & Competencies

Industry experience in electrical products or related sectors
Proven ability to develop and nurture key client relationships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced competitive market environment
