Job Description

Amazon Ready is scaling to provide agile capacity to AMZL by flexing labor with demand. We are seeking a Program Manager to drive Readys strategy and operational execution. This role will own scaling mechanisms performance management and cross-functional alignment to deliver on Readys network-level capacity commitments.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Readys scaling roadmap aligned with peak cycles (Prime Day PAS Peak).
- Partner with Ops WFS and ACES to build and scale mechanisms for hiring conversion scheduling and pool stabilization.
- Define operational guardrails for Ready deployment (roster mix block release surge mechanisms).
- Deep dive on business performance identifying root causes for shortfalls and driving corrective actions.
- Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to provide leadership visibility into Ready performance (HC hours delivered engagement).
- Own long-term strategy for Ready integration into UTR planning balancing cost reliability and scalability.

A day in the life
As a Program Manager at AMZL JP your day revolves around optimizing labor strategy. You analyze data identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborating with international colleagues you share insights and align on priorities. You work closely with Operations Finance ACES Tech BA solving complex problems to enhance productivity. Leading cross-functional efforts you develop and implement innovative solutions. You craft compelling roadmap for senior leadership translating data into actionable strategies. Your focus remains on driving AMZLs success in Japan while ensuring customer satisfaction through improved logistics operations.

- Bachelors degree in Business Operations Supply Chain or related field.
- 5 years of experience in program management operations or strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep into data identify trends and propose scalable solutions.
- Strong ownership mindset bias for action and ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (English required Japanese preferred).

- Experience in workforce planning gig economy or high-velocity operations.
- Knowledge of labor planning systems rostering or capacity management.
- Track record of scaling operational programs across multiple sites or regions.
