JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or two show venues. Promotes positive guest experiences by ensuring that the venue(s) including both talent and technical aspects run at the optimum performance levels.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the development of the venue leadership team including training coaching and mentoring. Also responsible for hourly Team Members by providing recognition and feedback on job responsibilities giving direction on how to handle solve and prevent situations and developing communication decision-making and problem-solving skills. Creates development plans gives direction to direct reports on administering memos and Team Member counselings. Ensures all Team Member schedules performance appraisals and documentation are completed in a timely and consistent manner. Addresses Team Member situations as needed and collaborates with HR team when necessary for guidance.
- Focuses on Guest and Team Member satisfaction. Ensures that each Team Member meets UO service standards and assists Guests while maintaining an efficient safe and pleasant environment. Ensure that TSAT and GSAT initiatives and programs are in place to keep the workplace fun while increasing overall job satisfaction and efficiency.
- Accountable for assuring that all administrative duties are completed in a timely accurate manner including but not limited to Team Member reviews attendance Personnel/Payroll Actions (PPAs) skill certifications management and Team Member scheduling reconciling timecards show reporting shift meetings and other functions for the assigned venue(s). Updates and enforces company policies and procedures as well as departmental training and safety. This includes developing writing and updating operating and training manuals producing spot talks documenting and addressing infractions with salaried and hourly Team Members.
- Manages daily/weekly labor and looks for ways to improve overall operational efficiency. Monitors and adjusts labor hours and budgets according to attendance levels operating needs and other variables. Participates in business planning and ongoing department initiatives. Monitors tracks and records overtime mitigating use with creative staffing and approved contingency use. Monitor purchases made for each venue to ensure financial obligations are appropriately met. Reconcile and sign off on all P-card and T&E purchases each month.
- Required to periodically represent the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty (Entertainment 10) for all entertainment venues. Actively work to establish and maintain strong working relationships with peers and counterparts within and outside the division to foster strong cooperation company-wide. Duties will include responding to Team Member and guest situations venue staffing mitigating down times and making the proper notifications including Sr. Leadership.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
- 2 years experience within the professional entertainment or theme park industry required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
