CONTROLLER & HUMAN RESCOURCES OPERATIONS MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an established CPA firm in WNY is looking to hire a Controller / Human Resources Operations Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes a mixed role and enjoys helping a company run smoothly through a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily in-house accounting & human resources responsibilities to ensure smooth operations of the organization
- Utilize QuickBooks Desktop daily to manage internal accounting functions
- Oversee general ledger journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Manage the AP/AR team to ensure accuracy providing training and guidance as necessary
- Perform internal payroll responsibilities working alongside Payroll Supervisor
- Perform benefits administration processing employee changes and enrollments in a timely manner
- Act as the primary point of contact for any benefits/payroll policy & PTO inquiries from employees
- Create and maintain detailed compensation spreadsheets
- Maintain complex buyout spreadsheets to accurately reflect percentages & allocations
- Manage employee files to ensure compliance with internal processes
- Take part in HR activities such as onboarding new hires employee relations internal meetings etc.
- Audit current accounting/HR procedures to determine areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office with flexibility to WFH as needed
- $80000 - $130000 annually depending on experience with bonus potential

- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 5 years Accounting experience
- Proficient computer skills specifically QuickBooks; ADP is a plus
- Payroll/benefits processing experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analysis and interpretation skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation not available
