Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a/an Delivery Driver/Receiving Coordinator in USA Fontana Ca.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager the Delivery Driver/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for loading securing verifying and unloading materials for delivery in a box truck. The primary vehicle of operation will be 26 box truck with air brakes. Additionally the delivery driver will be assigned to general warehouse duties when not completing driving duties.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Loads and appropriately secures product materials or supplies inside delivery vehicle.
  • Delivers orders to specified delivery sites and unloads material safely and accurately obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary; takes all precautions necessary to protect the product and customers property.
  • Verifies order details and product is in good condition and accurately accounted for.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles and maintains the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles; performs routine safety inspections to ensure vehicles comply with company and DOT guidelines.
  • Follows all DOT regulations and observes all safety procedures.
  • Provides excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner; addresses any customer concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload materials at designated sites.
  • Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
    • Shipping & Receiving: Assists with shipping receiving loading and unloading trucks and processing shipping and receiving shipments within system.
    • Inventory: Stage pick and pull material for manufacturing projects and process documentation within system.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The experience were looking to add to our team:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience making deliveries in a box truck with air brakes.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse of manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid California Class C Drivers License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate a box truck and drive safely.
  • Ability to plan delivery routes and maintain basic delivery logs/records.
  • Ability to conduct vehicle inspections and maintenance.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of inventory and warehouse management procedures.
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times.

What the physical requirements are:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
  • Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching squatting and reaching.
  • Must wear PPE such as gloves safety glasses hard hat and ear protection while working on the production floor

Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$20.95 USD - $28.28 USDHourly
