About this Position
As a PDI Engineer focus on Pre-sales inspection of BYD forklift you will be committed to forklift pre-sales quality assurance. You will be in charge of the quality control and do the pre-alert checking according to the required PDI level coordinate with the HQ PDI team to assume a high-quality-level production releasing to the market. You will be also responsible to coordinate with the sales team and do the modification of the forklift specially required by the client. Visiting the end client to have a double-checking is also necessary when needed.
Location and working setup:
This is a full-time position job to work on-site in the workshop of Forklift warehouse based in Hoofddorp the Netherlands. Flexible or remote working is not available for this role.
Reporting Line:
The PDI engineer will report directly to the Aftersales Manager of the Forklift Division at BYD Europe.
As PDI Engineer your key responsibility areas will be:
- Providing Pre Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and quality control on new trucks and value-added work carried out in BYD forklift Workshop/warehouse;
- Create weekly PDI reports and coordinate with the HQ PDI team to keep a high-level quality of the production.
- Technical advice and support on forklift and warehouse trucks;
- Technical input for existing product improvement and new product development;
- Technical inspections and renovating actions such as mast swapping battery repair and maintenance dismantling from parts mounting of extra features such as data loggers;
- Occasionally external service jobs (abroad) and assisting and advising the product specialists;
- Assembly of cabins (after training by manufacturer) and additional equipment;
- Testing modifications of the trucks in cooperation with the quality manager or product specialist.
Your profile:
- You are living in Netherland
- HBO/MBO degree in mechanical or related field
- More than 1 years of relevant work experience in production presales inspection or related fields
- Experienced in resolving and following up on quality issues etc.
- Good communication skills organizational and coordination abilities and teamwork skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.
- This is a hands-on position that requires proficiency in the use of tools.
