Training Specialist III Training Lead
Job Overview
cFocus Software is seeking a Training Specialist III (Training Lead) to support the Security Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM) contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).The Training Lead will design develop and deliver technical and compliance-focused training programs for IT and cybersecurity personnel ensuring alignment with federal requirements and agency mission needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver technical and compliance training programs for IT staff and end users.
- Create training materials including manuals presentations e-learning modules and simulations.
- Conduct instructor-led training (ILT) virtual training and workshops for diverse audiences.
- Assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal training requirements including NIST role-based training and Section 508 accessibility.
- Collaborate with SMEs and program staff to design tailored training for HHS systems and processes.
- Manage training logistics scheduling and tracking of learner progress.
- Prepare reports dashboards and metrics on training program effectiveness.
- Mentor and guide junior training staff.
Required Experience
- 8 years of experience in instructional design IT/cybersecurity training or adult education.
- Proven expertise delivering technical training programs in enterprise or federal environments.
- Experience developing both instructor-led and online learning content.
- Knowledge of federal compliance training requirements including NIST SP 800-53 role-based training and FISMA.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Education Instructional Design Information Technology or related field (Masters preferred).
- Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) or equivalent instructional certification preferred.
- CompTIA Security or equivalent certification desirable for cybersecurity-related training programs.
- Additional certifications in instructional design or adult learning methodologies are highly desirable.
Clearance Requirement
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Moderate to High-Risk) clearance.Required Experience:
