About the Centre for Water Technology and Policy

The Centre for Water Technology and Policy at The University of Hong Kong established in 2018 conducts cutting-edge research on water technology-policy interface issues that would result in findings of direct practical relevance for Hong Kongs urban water sector. About the position:
The Centre invites applications for the position of Project Officer to support the implementation of applied research and knowledge exchange projects in particular a citywide water conservation project that targets high-consumption users in both the domestic and the non-domestic sectors. The appointee will assist with logistical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth project execution.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for participant registration and managing follow-up communications
  • Coordinate fieldwork schedules with participating sites and other external parties
  • Maintain project records including participant agreements inventories and data logs
  • Support outreach activities and project-related events
  • Conduct desk research
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements:

  • A recognised Bachelors degree or above
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Cantonese
  • Attention to details; Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

What we offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include annual leave medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
