Job Summary

Job Description:

leadership strategy and tactics to enable continuous improvement in occupational healthsafety and environmental matters.

safety and environmental improvement KPIs for plant use and assesses trend informationfor problem-solving and decision-making.

as the subject matter expert for HSE legal requirements and recommends to the plant managerand other direct staff related best practices tools processes and initiatives.

the front-line organization on HSE matters and is responsible for providing tools and training toallow the front-line organization to own and be responsible for the safety of their people.

with operations to ensure job hazard & risk assessments (JHRA) are conducted for both routineand non-routine work and monitors that identified hazards are managed by operations.

assessments to determine legal and company standards gaps and improvement needs for HSE.

applications and amendments for environmental permits licenses and authorizations and codetermines with operations and maintenance follow-up responsibilities and recordkeeping.

and documents the interface with regulatory authorities both verbal and written.

technical training materials for occupational health safety and environmental topics andensures that regulatory-required training is conducted and documented.

plant procedures standards and guidelines for HSE topics and works with plant staff toensure that roles and responsibilities are understood and accepted.

and approves plant capital projects for HSE considerations; prepares the budget andjustification for HSE-related capital investments.

and manages HSE operating budget.

plant HSE management systems and documentation (environmental management safety &health management energy management) and serves as the coordinator for implementation andcompliance.

in Continuous Improvement events.

required HSE data (incident information environmental metrics etc.) is entered in corporatedatabases in a timely manner.

a culture of total safety by managing personal protective equipment and conductingoccupational health checks for employees in designated areas. Additionally oversees third-partysecurity service providers and performance; monitors CCTV alarm systems.

work-related injuries which includes determine if an incident is a work-related eventreporting and entering it in HSE incident reporting management system. Develops plant-widecompetency in incident investigation and leads cross-functional (operations maintenance engineeringetc.) investigation teams.

the effective read-across for incidents occurring at other locations.

with regional HSE team and local HR team to continuously develop HSE knowledge skills andcapabilities for both self and the local organization.

as a role model for safe personal practices.

as local champion for regional or global HSE initiatives.

22May on occasion be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
