About this Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Wellbeing Navigator Peer to join our Support and Connect Team. This designated consumer Lived Experience role draws on your expertise in Intentional Peer Support (IPS) to provide meaningful values-driven peer support to participants facing complex and intersecting challenges such as long-term mental health concerns trauma or social disadvantage.

In this leadership role youll model IPS principles offer mentoring and co-reflection to peer staff and foster a culture that respects and amplifies the voice of Lived Experience. Your work will be grounded in human rights trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practice while actively supporting reconciliation and culturally safe services for First Nations peoples.

You will need:

  • Personal experience of distress trauma mental illness and/or substance use and the recovery journey accessing and navigating health care services including mental health services and a willingness to draw upon your experiences and recovery journey to inform your work
  • Completion of Intentional Peer Support Core or Advanced Training
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Consumer Peer Work role
  • A well-established understanding of the values practices and principles of peer support Minimum of three years experience working in mental health or related services.
  • Current valid Drivers License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check (less than 12 months old)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
