Job Description

Job Title: Business Office Manager Healthcare Finance & Operations

Location: Hauppauge NY

Job Summary:
Were seeking a dynamic Business Office Manager to oversee healthcare business office operations including accounts payable billing patient registration finance insurance verification and monthly closing/reporting tasks. Youll lead train and evaluate a dedicated office team while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage healthcare business office staff: hire train set goals and evaluate performance

  • Oversee revenue cycle (scheduling insurance verification coding billing cash management collections)

  • Handle all accounts payable financial closure and reporting

  • Ensure compliance with state/federal policies and company standards

  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff management and other departments

  • Set and track office objectives and metrics

  • Foster a healthy work environment and model professional behavior

  • Incorporate patient satisfaction/quality data into office goals

  • Identify and solve process issues impacting financial goals or patient care

  • Support human resources management of business office staff

  • Collaborate for system/process efficiency

  • Other related duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in business or healthcare administration

  • Minimum 3 years experience running a medical office (accounts payable revenue cycle finance)

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and Medicare Part B claims

  • Experience with financial documentation standards and HR management

  • Leadership ability strong ethics and track record of reliability

Preferred:

  • Masters degree (MBA MHA etc.)

  • Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) operations
