City Capital are currently representing a fast-growing real estate finance lender who are seeking a proactive and relationship driven individual to join as Corporate Investor Relationship Manager.
This is a brand-new role created due to growth and ongoing success making this an exciting time to join one of the UKs fastest growing lenders where you can have a true impact on upcoming success.

Our client is a leading provider of real estate finance loans that support property investors and developers with access to funds for investment or development purposes.
As part of their lending strategy they operate a range of funding lines from corporate investors who are keen to make profitable returns on the UK real estate market via a trusted and proven real estate lending vehicle.
The company are on a huge growth curve and are achieving record levels of success across all aspects of their business driven by the successful growth of their funding panel.
Role Overview
As Investor Relationship Manager you will work alongside the broader funding team to support the relationships of corporate partners who are actively investing funds into the business.
You will be involved in all elements of the relationship cycle including supporting activity for investor onboarding ongoing investor relationship management and investor offboarding. You will act as the main point of contact for these relationships throughout and will focus on developing these to support retention and improved performance.
You will meet regularly with funding partners to discuss and influence performance and to drive unity between the two businesses. You will present regular performance data and support strategies that achieve the desired objectives of both parties.
You will be supported by a highly technical and experienced funding management team of analysts & associates who will deliver important data & opportunities for you to explore.
Initially you will work very closely with the Head of Funding to devise and develop the relationship strategy for individual corporate investors and a broader overarching relationship strategy & principles for the panel.
Responsibilities
- RM and first point of contact for all corporate investors within the business
- Attend meetings with funding partners to discuss & influence performance
- Actively identify additional opportunities for funding partners and negotiate
- Assist with the agreement of commercial terms with new funding partners
- Undertake regular due diligence on investors in line with company policy
- Assist with the offboarding of investment partners in line with rel cycle
- Undertake regular reporting activities on investor and loan performance
- Work with the analysts and associates to deliver meaningful insights & opps
- Optimising and implement relevant policies procedures & strategies
- Liaising with broader group functions (legal/risk etc) for department needs
- Ensure investor satisfaction and performance is always optimised
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role must be an experienced corporate investment/funding relationship manager and will have a detailed understanding of the wholesale lending model. It is likely that you have worked for a funding line or a business utilising external corporate funding lines before.
To this extent you will be comfortable when managing senior individuals both internally and externally including in some of the worlds largest financial institutions. You will be an outstanding relationship manager negotiator and communicator in all aspects. You will also have an excellent attention to detail and ability to understand and influence performance data.
- An experienced corporate investor/funding relationship expert
- A strong understanding of wholesale funding models in all aspects
- Confident when dealing with large corporate clients & demands
- A track record in real estate lending could be advantageous but not essential
- Data-centric capable of creating strategies & outcomes from MI
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- A natural leader with the ability to build and grow dynamic lending teams
- Excellent organisations skills with capacity to manage multiple projects
- Ambition to progress long-term within a high-growth lender
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay between 70k - 95k as a basic salary for the ideal individual which will be entirely relevant to experience. Higher offers may also be considered for exceptional talent. Salary will be complemented by access to our clients favourable bonus scheme too which will increase annual income significantly.
Notably our client expects to continue their growth journey for some time meaning that this role has a genuine opportunity to expand where success can be delivered. As this is a band new role created it is expected that a team may need to be built beneath you in time.
