We are currently looking for an Assistant Press Helper to assist Press Operators in preparation and/or wash up of jobs going to and from press. Assist Press Operators with setups to ensure presses are run according to job specifications.

Schedule: 2nd shift M-Thurs 3pm-1am Friday OT available.

Compensation: $19-$22/hr depending on experience shift differential available.

When your actions lead to success:

• Assist the Press Operator in their duties such as cleaning anilox rolls needed for future run orders. Assist in changing anilox rolls doctor blades ink fountains printing cylinders and other press components.
• As part of the training in this role eventual duties would include mounting/demounting plates setting print impressions webbing various press components running and or filling in on press in Press Operators absence.
• Report any equipment or material problems to team/team leader immediately for prompt correction of problem.
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations policies and initiatives including reporting all first aid injuries accidents and workplace hazards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Upholds all ethical standards associated with safety quality and food safety policies and procedures within the facility including the TC Transcontinental Code of Conduct and values.
• Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Huntley plant including but not limited to-Health Safety Wellness (HSW) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safe Quality Food (SQF) Continuous Improvement (CI) and any other processes established within the TC Huntley plant.
• Responsible for reporting all safety quality and food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
• Performs responsibilities to expected outcomes.
• Communicates openly truthfully and compassionately with respect for individual differences.
• Identify issues and problems within manufacturing and quality processes. Work with Supervisor/Manager to define and resolve problems as well as recommend improvement processes.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
