Job Summary

Job Title: Lab Assistant
Location: Washington DC.
Job type: 13 weeks contract
Shift: Nights 5x8-Hour (03:00 pm 11.00 pm)

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in a hospital setting. Must have experience as a lab assistant; phlebotomists will not be accepted.
Experience processing specimens for laboratory use (centrifuge aliquot storage).
Knowledge and experience with:
- Purple top (EDTA) tubes
- Red top (plain) tubes
- Centrifuge
- Vacutainer tubes
- Laboratory requisitions
Specimen processing knowledge is required; experience with HLA specimen handling is highly preferred.
