The Systems Analyst role provides technical support and services to district staff and students. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing hardware assisting with network and software issues and ensuring reliable operation of technology systems across the district. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities effective communication skills and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
The Systems Analyst will work with the Manager of Technology Services to support the implementation and the strategic direction of RDCRS technology infrastructure.
Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools serves over 10650 students across 21 schools in Red Deer Blackfalds Sylvan Lake Rocky Mountain House Innisfail and Olds. The Division is dedicated to providing comprehensive learning opportunities to children and families delivered within the framework of Catholic teachings and aligned with the Divisions resources.
It would be advantageous if the successful candidate can demonstrate:
Provide first-line technical support for district technology systems including hardware software and networking.
Diagnose and repair computer hardware peripherals and related devices.
Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of network equipment.
Respond to service requests document solutions and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions.
Communicate effectively with staff students and external vendors to ensure timely and professional service delivery.
Drive to multiple school and administrative sites as required.
Work within a school and office environment including troubleshooting in classrooms supporting educators in the school division
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Experience with hardware repair and general IT troubleshooting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license for travel between district sites.
Ability to learn new systems and processes in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualities:
Completion of post-secondary education in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
Industry-recognized certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network Microsoft).
Previous experience in a systems analyst technical support role or educational setting.
Additional Information:
Candidate must live in Central Alberta
The position requires the candidate to be on site Monday - Friday
