Position Summary
This position reports to the AVP of Sales Central Region Canada and is responsible for managing sales within our distribution channel. The role holds primary responsibility for maintaining and growing business relationships with key contacts at our channel partners while achieving assigned sales and profitability targets. It carries commercial accountability for all product families purchased by the assigned customer list. Additionally the role will focus on tracking projects promoting product preference and strengthening the Prysmian brand.
Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers and strategic contacts to support long-term business growth.
Maintain full commercial responsibility for an assigned customer portfolio ensuring customer satisfaction and revenue targets are met.
Proactively identify and track potential projects positioning Prysmian as the preferred partner.
Lead and facilitate regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance align on goals and explore new opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teamsincluding credit quality and engineeringto efficiently resolve customer issues and ensure service excellence.
Deliver product training sessions to customers and coordinate plant tours to enhance customer engagement and understanding.
Represent Prysmian at regional trade shows and industry events as required.
Partner with internal business units to identify cross-selling opportunities and expand the regional product offering.
Collect and share relevant market intelligence to inform and optimize commercial strategies.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook PowerPoint) and strong overall computer literacy required.
Bachelors degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered as an alternative to formal education.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) sales or a related technical sales role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
