Carlow University Athletics is seeking a highly motivated individual for the job of Head Coach Mens and Womens Golf. They will report directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the management of all aspects a NCAA III Athletic program. Implementing communicating and directing procedures and process for the recruitment of new student athletes implementing and running of team/individual camps and other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Job Duties: - Duties include but will not be limited to game coaching recruitment of student athletes scheduling practice sessions team travel supporting student-athletes and the supervision of assistant coaches. Ability to physically demonstrate complex movements and skills required.
- Candidate must have demonstrated success in a mens and womens golf program at the college or an equivalently high level including evidence of successful student retention and team success. Demonstrated ability to recruit motivate and develop Division III student-athletes knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport is necessary.
- Oversee all on-campus aspects of recruiting for mens and womens golf.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy.
- Identify and evaluate potential recruits by attending high school and Jr. College events.
- Create relationships and data bases with H.S. junior college and club Coaches
- Working with scouting services and Coaches and overseeing Front rush NCSA and SLATE
- Promoting camps
Required Experience and Qualifications: - This person must possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules a commitment to high academic standards and the NCAA Division III philosophy. A successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity. Carlow University is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). This position will assist with special projects and event management as needed.
- Typically requires a bachelors degree or higher plus three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
