The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the housekeeping and laundry area functions and is responsible for the daily shift operations of the housekeeping department. They direct the work of employees to ensure property guestrooms public spaces and associate areas are cleaned and well maintained. This position also ensures compliance with all policies standards and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises all Team Members in the department.
Assists in the direct supervision of all department employees on assigned shift.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition subtraction and multiplication tables.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel objects reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The Employee is frequently required to lift up to 75 lbs. and have the ability to lift bend stoop push or pull heavy loads and wheeled carts weighing up lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations and stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations.
