Job Description
Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
-
Oversee day-to-day operations of the meat production lines ensuring efficiency and compliance with production schedules
-
Monitor workflow and adjust production activities to meet quality and quantity targets
-
Coordinate with other departments (e.g. logistics maintenance quality assurance) to streamline production
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g. HACCP or relevant local regulations)
-
Monitor the quality of raw materials production processes and finished products to meet company standards
3. Team Leadership
-
Manage train and motivate production staff to ensure peak performance
-
Assign duties monitor team progress and provide constructive feedback
-
Promote a culture of safety teamwork and continuous improvement
4. Health & Safety
-
Enforce compliance with workplace safety protocols to minimize accidents and hazards
-
Ensure staff are trained in proper handling and processing of meat products
5. Reporting and Documentation
-
Maintain accurate records of production metrics including yields waste and downtime
-
Prepare reports on production performance staffing needs and maintenance requirements

Communicate production issues and solutions to senior management
Requirements
6. Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 35 years of supervisory experience in meat processing or a related food production environment
7. Skills and Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g. HACCP GMP)
-
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team

Excellent problem-solving decision-making and organizational abilities
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills both written and verbal
