Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Farm Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the farm with a strong focus on poultry production. The role requires hands-on management ensuring high standards of animal welfare productivity biosecurity and cost efficiency.
The Farm Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the farm with a strong focus on poultry production. The role requires hands-on management ensuring high standards of animal welfare productivity biosecurity and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of poultry production including feeding breeding health monitoring and housing.
- Implement and monitor biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
- Supervise and train farm staff to ensure efficient farm operations.
- Monitor flock performance mortality feed conversion and production records.
- Coordinate supply and procurement of feed vaccines medicines and other inputs.
- Maintain accurate records of production health and costs for management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee general farm activities including crop feed and livestock integration where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Animal Science Agriculture or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 5 years experience managing poultry operations (broilers or layers).
- Strong knowledge of poultry nutrition health management and biosecurity.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping ability.
- Practical hands-on approach with attention to detail.
- Ability to work long hours and under pressure during peak production periods.
