Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a specialized laboratory environment focusing on soil water plant and fertilizer testing.

Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical analysis on soil water plant and fertilizer samples using established laboratory techniques.
- Oversee daily laboratory operations and support junior team members where required.
- Contribute to the development implementation and maintenance of ISO quality standards and accreditation processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and laboratory best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Collaborate with management to optimize testing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in analytical chemistry with proven experience in soil water plant and fertilizer testing.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and techniques (e.g. spectroscopy chromatography titration).
- Knowledge of ISO accreditation processes and quality control systems.
- Ability to supervise or mentor laboratory staff.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific field (postgraduate qualification an advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years laboratory experience with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in an ISO-accredited laboratory preferred.
