DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support national and international coordination mechanisms to enhance policy dialogue capacity and streamlined interventions for national school meals program.
2. Support evidence creation learning and innovation across programmatic life cycle to align with programmatic and national objectives.
3. Research and analyze various policy and operational issues related to large-scale school meal programs as part of WFPs engagement and advocacy with the government.
4. Support information collection and knowledge management to consolidate and document best practices and improve coordination and technical support.
5. Liaise with internal and external counterparts including partners to ensure effective collaboration monitor ongoing projects and highlight potential risks to project delivery.
6. Support drafting of policy briefs funding proposals and other advocacy and/or communication materials related to school-based programmes.
7. Support ad-hoc requests of support from government counterparts and the future areas of expansion of technical support including but not limited to fortification fuel-efficiency and clean cooking sustainable financing reduction of food waste market linkages etc.
8. Contribute to design and facilitation for meetings events conferences workshops and / or trainings related to the school meals programme.
9. Support the identification development and management of potential partnerships that align with and advance national goals related to the school meals programme.
10. Other as required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Be a masters student or a graduate Political Science International Development Nutrition Food Systems Development Economics International Relations Law Marketing Communications or another relevant field.
Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C). Working knowledge of another official UN language (French Spanish Arabic Chinese Russian plus Portuguese) is an asset.
Some experience with project management data collection research and analysis writing and communications.
Experience in partnership building and coordination particularly working groups will support the work.
Excellent command of MS office
International experience highly desirable.

Experience in working with government counterparts and managing a multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder programme.
Experience in organizing and managing multi-stakeholder meetings large scale workshops trainings and other events.
Improved research coordination and programme management skills.
Enhanced structuring and writing of policy briefs proposals and communication materials
