POSITION SUMMARY
A Field and Safety Training Manager develops implements and oversees safety policies procedures and training programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment particularly within field operations. This role requires a deep understanding of safety regulations excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to develop and deliver effective training programs. This is a Human Resource role that reports directly to the VP of Talent Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures including those related to general safety and specific vehicle-related hazards ensuring they align with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees on safety procedures hazard identification accident prevention and emergency response.
- Foster a positive safety culture by educating employees on safe work practices and encouraging proactive hazard reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations industry best practices and emerging safety technologies.
- Maintain accurate training records track employee progress and ensure compliance with training requirements.
- Work closely with the safety department field management supervisors and employees to identify training needs address safety concerns and implement effective solutions.
- Create and update safety training materials including presentations handouts and online resources.
- Represent the company and participate in safety-related meetings.
Qualifications :
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- Proven experience in safety management preferably in a field-based environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- A bachelors degree in occupational health and safety or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in our industry may be required or preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position which include the following:
- Regular Hours of operation are M-F 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
- Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
- Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
- While performing duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- Proficient literacy
- The employee frequently is required to stand walk or reach with hands and arms
