Mr. Garaz Technologies Private Limited is a multidisciplinary engineering and mobility solutions company with strategic expertise in transportation fleet maintenance infrastructure repair and mechanical manufacturing. As part of our expansion into maritime engineering we are executing turnkey projects involving shipbuilding dry dock repairs and floating dock (wet dock) maintenance for both defense and commercial marine vessels.

Position Overview
We are seeking skilled MIG/MAG Welders to join our marine vessel Maintenance and Manufacturing project in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding operations involving mild steel stainless steel and structural fabrication. This role is vital in ensuring the structural integrity and operational readiness of marine vessel under our maintenance scope.
Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG/MAG welding on marine vessel underframes couplers and structural components as per engineering drawings.

Read and interpret technical blueprints fabrication sketches and welding symbols.

Conduct surface preparation including grinding fitting and tacking prior to welding.

Ensure compliance with welding procedures safety standards and quality benchmarks.

Perform self-inspection of completed welds and support third-party NDT or QA inspections.

Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance engineers for work assignments and material needs.

Maintain welding equipment tools and workstations in good condition.
Required Qualifications

ITI or Diploma in Welding / Fabrication Technology or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of experience in MIG/MAG welding in heavy fabrication or marine vessel maintenance.

Familiarity with welding positions (1G 6G) and knowledge of metallurgy and distortion control.

Ability to work under minimal supervision with attention to quality and timelines.

Basic understanding of health and safety practices in industrial environments.
Preferred Certifications

Valid welding certification (Indian Railways RDSO or other accredited institutions) is preferred.

Experience in shipyard/railway/metro/automotive maintenance projects is advantageous.
