Position Summary:
- Builds and executes the strategic business goals for the Used Serviceable Material (USM) business in China as part of the Airbus Material Services Organisation including development of a sales and customer strategy while managing operations for Satair Chengdu by applying sound business judgment and resourceful thinking
- This position is responsible for directing all of the operations of the company in Satair Chengdu in accordance with company objectives and policies
- The jobholder leads the Satair Chengdu company operationally and is accountable for stable high performing and efficient end to end operations. The jobholder has the regional responsibility for overall building and executing the strategic business goals for the Used Serviceable Material (USM) business in China including development of a sales and customer strategy for Satair Chengdu by applying sound business judgment and resourceful thinking
- The jobholder is responsible for a continuous development of the company towards a sustainable business in China along with the growth of the Airbus Fleet in China by tight coordination with global and local Airbus Satair and VAS functions. The jobholder supports the development business plans and opportunities for investment diversification and growth.
- The jobholder has accountability to financial execution of the company as General Manager while directing all of the operations of the company in Satair Chengdu in accordance with company objectives and policies.
- The jobholder will function as part of the local Satair China management team as well as part of the VAS global leadership team.
Job Description:
- Engage with OEMs and MROs in alignment with MD of Satair China to build long term relationship in providing solutions for commercial USM material
- Works closely with MD of Satair China in growing USM business in China and also in close collaboration with the GM of ALS (Airbus Lifecycle Services) in providing aircraft end of life solutions
- Managing the Satair Chengdu team toward collective objectives and KPIs set by the management.
- Oversee the hiring process assignment of work projects training and all other matters related to Team/company management.
- Establish and maintain KPIs towards planning developing organising implementing directing and evaluating the organizations sales IT Quality Logistics and Support Services functions and performance
- Participates in the development of the companies plans and programs by evaluating and advising on short and long-term strategic planning
- Responsible for overall budget (of costs and top line) for Satair Chengdu and provides accurate analysis of new opportunity proposals business trends and market conditions for USM
- Develops implements and enforces policies procedures and systems that are in line with Satair standards and improves the overall operation and effectiveness of Satair Chengdu
- Oversees all A/C acquisition teardown management repair Management and USM sale activities in Satair Chengdu
- Ensures a solid pipeline of aircraft assets for dismantling while coordinating with the commercial functions to ensure a ready supply towards customers
- Ensures the management and integrity of the quality assurance and quality control of the company
- Represents Satair Chengdu in aviation trade shows customer events and MRO events
- Supports the activities involved in the aircraft teardown process within defined timeframe and cost.
- To develop knowledge of products competitors and political and inter-cultural conditions
- To closely monitor and report conditions in the market place of importance to Satairs competitive ability including competitor behavior and activities to VAS leadership and drive support for regional execution
- To adhere to regional legal responsibilities and ensure timely submissions/application of relevant reports/licenses/taxation with the relevant authorities
- Perform monthly business reviews weekly update meetings and conduct required Satair Chengdu board meetings

Requirements:
Minimum level of education or certification
Master degree or University degree in aeronautics or aeronautical engineering supply chain logistics (preferred)
Min 2-3 years people and team management experience
Demonstrable successful experience in a wide range of communications including but not limited to public speaking sales presentations staff meetings and related activities
Expert knowledge related to processes and business plan development and implementation
Knowledge of commercial engines landing gears and their lifecycle
Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese both written and spoken
