Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Manager Microsoft Dynamics D365 to lead both the daily operations and strategic development of our global D365 ERP this dual role you will ensure seamless system performance across our international locations while also acting as the Product Owner to guide future enhancements in close collaboration with business stakeholders and technology partners. This is a key position for someone who thrives at the intersection of IT and business combining operational reliability with innovation.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for both run-the-business and change-the-business functions within the Microsoft Dynamics D365 environment:
1. Operational Management (Run-the-Business)
Ensure the smooth and reliable operation of D365 across all locations (Switzerland Netherlands and the US):
- Be responsible for
day-to-day D365 functionality and oversee system uptime
- Act as the main point of contact for third-party providers and manage external support relationships
- Track and follow up on issue resolution and bug fixing ensuring appropriate re-testing by the business
- Coordinate D365 activities of roles (e.g. super users testers data stewards and system administrators) across departments
- Provide second-level user support in collaboration with local super users
- Manage Microsofts quarterly ERP software updates and ensure regression testing
2. Platform Development & Strategic Improvement (Change-the-Business)
Lead the continuous improvement and future roadmap of D365 by:
- Acting as the single point of contact for D365-related topics for business stakeholders
- Aligning change requests based on strategic goals and operational needs
- Prioritizing and managing the development backlog
- Preparing business cases for change requests with input from internal teams and external suppliers
- Ensuring translation of business needs into technical D365 requirements in collaboration with the suppliers
- Overseeing the implementation and testing of system changes to ensure business value and quality
- Supporting broader D365 initiatives such as the planning implementation and rollout of new modules or functionalities
Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking someone with a solid combination of technical knowledge business understanding and project management experience:
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering Computer Science Data Analytics or a related field
- Additional education in Economics or Business is a plus
- At least 2 years of experience in
managing software implementations or ERP projects
- Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 particularly the Finance and Operations module
- Familiarity with physical production and supply chain processes
