Job Description

Duties:The Senior IT Systems Specialist oversees and maintains network functions to secure the network operability supporting both the administrative and instructional staff. Participates in coordinating network operations and performs network connections. Adheres to industry best practices relating to software installation hardware inventory a backup plan and the numerous other procedures defined by the Educational Technology Department while adhering to all federal and state regulations relating to technology. Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Certification in Networking or equivalent field experienceExperience with wireless LAN and WAN networksExperience in an educational environment with both PC and/or Mac platformsExperience with Windows Servers virtual environments networking equipmentExperience with Microsoft Office 365 and AzureSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or his designee may find appropriate and :Salary will be based on appropriate placement on the Shawsheen Teachers Association Unit C salary scale.
