The Chaplains Office was established as early as the founding of Hong Kong Baptist University a leading liberal arts University in Asia proudly built upon the heritage of Christian higher education. Operated with the support of donations the Chaplains Office plays an important role in maintaining a Christian presence and heritage of the University and is committed to character building of students and to provide quality pastoral care and spiritual support to the University community.
Coordinator of Music Ministries ()
The appointee is expected to assist the music ministry of the Chaplains Office in general with the major responsibilities as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral care and administrative support to the Christian Choir and the Christian Band;
- Coordinate the music ministry on and off campus and other outreach projects;
- University-wide activities or duties as assigned by the Chaplain;and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A master of Divinity degree will be an advantage;
- At least3 years of relevant work experience;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Passionate about working with university students; and
- Willing to work irregular hours.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two -appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
