Performs administrative and professional work overseeing the Green-Up Program and management of the Departments Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture operations. An incumbent assigned to this position plans implements and directs program activities including: preparing and administering budget; collecting revenue collection and processing accounts payable; securing outside funding and personnel; analyzing and designing new landscape projects that improve public green spaces; managing and training Section personnel and volunteers; and specifying materials and equipment needs. Plans directs and coordinates all activities to ensure the program supports City of Orlando goals and objectives with a focus on sustainability. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Assistant Division Manager for Environmental Management and is reviewed through reports conferences and results achieved.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Horticulture Landscape Architecture Natural Resource Management or a related field required plus two (2) years of experience in landscape design or similar work required which includes two (2) years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Florida Drivers License required.
